House of Consumables
'Spectacle' is celebrated in New London through the House of Consumables. Iconography and objects as a means of communicating the values of New London, guiding its growth and influencing a sense of identity. The House of Consumables shall be inspired by frames, shelves and plinths-- elements that are commonly known to beautify or increase the value of the objects they display. The space shall serve to display products created in the workhouses--both decorative and everyday. Designed as a series of fragmented frames inserted into a long linear wall typology, offering the consumer a non-stop bombardment of images and products.
